Charlotte Vaccaro
Dancer
Charlotte Vaccaro is a classically trained dancer, and will be Columbia University Ballet Ensemble’s Artistic Director next fall. She has cast and staged Paquita, Sleeping Beauty, Giselle and Swan Lake. A native New Yorker, her ballet experience has included intensive training in the French technique at the French Academie of Ballet, as well as the Checcetti method at JKO school of American Ballet Theater. She trained in the neoclassical, Balanchine style, at Ballet Academy East and the Paris Marais Dance School. Additionally, she studied the Vaganova method during the Bolshoi Ballet Academy, and Koltun Ballet Boston summer programs. She has taught at Saratoga Springs Youth Ballet, and currently teaches pre-ballet in New York.
